Cool slightly, then mix with both sugars, egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Fold in chocolate to your liking. For the brownie, melt butter with 120 g chocolate. Stir in cocoa and oil. Separately whisk eggs and sugar for 3–4 minutes until pale and foamy. Add vanilla and melted chocolate mixture, then gently fold in flour, salt and extra chocolate if desired. Spread half the brownie batter into the pan. Add small pieces of cookie dough, remaining brownie batter, then larger cookie pieces on top. Finish with extra chocolate if desired. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–36 minutes. The edges should be set, the cookie lightly golden, and a toothpick inserted into the brownie should have moist crumbs, not wet batter. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Add chocolate buttons/chunks on top while warm for extra melty chocolate.
