@kadenwatson11: The End of Oak Street is one of the few dinosaur movies that’s not in the Jurassic Park franchise, but there’s been a long history of dinosaur movies. Let’s discuss! #endofoakstreet #jurassicpark #movies #filmtok #kadensmovieclub
also Primitive war was pretty good, but the novel in 100x better

I found it refreshing to see dinosaurs reimagined, including feathers and hair on dinosaurs.
there's also a moment in the plot where they paced it in a way that really caught me off guard which gave me a more genuine reaction,- and I applaud that.
I do wish there'd been more cooperation though. they were at a block party with these friends and neighbours the day before, now they won't even shout to warn each other about the dinosaurs around the corner? 💀

This video it’s the kind of wikipedia wormhole that I do before bed when I wonder what is the first dinosaur movie in history, but more interesting and with more fun facts, thanks!

I really liked End of Oak Street and it made me think maybe we don’t see as many dino movies because putting them in films with humans requires a more involved plot device than any other creature/monsters like sharks. There always has to be some time travel/sci-fi element to warrant the co-existence. Big fan of your work so thank you!

****POTENTIAL SPOILERS****
I really enjoyed End of Oak Street! It was nice to see people die in relatively gruesome ways (same for Primitive War). The husband being eaten took me by surprised bc I assumed he had plot armor. I didn't like the ending however

can't believe you didn't mention primitive war but considering what a certain actor has done, it's for the better

The problem with dinosaur movies is finding a way to explain why the dinosaurs are there. Jurassic Park kinda picked the most plausible and realistic explanation and everything else has to be even more wacky. Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Ice Age explain it by having Dinosaurs just living underground the whole time. Its hard to justify that as time goes on.

I mean I liked the movie but releasing it when spiderman and the odyssey were still in theaters ultimately doomed it and any chance of a sequel or other studios taking a risk on a cool idea. My local theater had 3 showings a day on release weekend in their basic format. And one was subtitles

I genuinely enjoyed 65 and end of oak Street for what they were. If we get a sequel or a mini series for End of Oak Street, Im definitely gonna be in that theater

my favourite jurassic rip off is triassic world its about one dinosaur from the triassic being used to further the human life span with its organs but the owner is corrupt and fucks up the dinosaurs so much they break out of the lab and rampage

you forgot Land of the Lost (2009)! I think a bit more of a serious version would slap, it's a cool concept, loved the show as a kid. Has potential if done right.
