This shot has been six years in the making. Here’s why: I grew up absolutely loving Captain America: The First Avenger. Steve Rogers was one of my favorite heroes, and as a kid, I didn’t just want to dress up as Captain America—I wanted to be him. The problem was… I was scrawny. 😂 I looked a lot more like Steve before the serum than the Steve after it. So six years ago, I started taking weight training seriously with one goal: to build a physique that looked like a superhero. For years, I wanted to recreate this exact shot in Times Square, but I wanted to do it justice. That meant years of training 5+ days a week and being patient with a process that couldn't be rushed. Then this year, the stars finally aligned. I had the opportunity to go to New York, and realized I was now the same age Chris Evans was when he played Steve Rogers in The First Avenger. Six years after I started training for this moment, I finally found myself standing in Times Square, wearing the same outfit and recreating a shot from one of the most influential movies of my childhood. And yes… it took A LOT of takes. 😂 But eventually, we got it. Six years of training. Six years of waiting. One trip to New York. One very specific goal. And somehow, it finally happened. What do you think? Did I do Steve Rogers justice? I want to keep recreating moments from the movies that made me who I am today by capturing the characters and moments that meant so much to me growing up. If you love movies as much as I do, follow along. I have a lot more moments I want to bring to life. 🇺🇸 #timessquare #nyc #captainamerica #fitnessjourney #marvel @Marvel Studios @Marvel Entertainment - @dallinallcaps
