@condor_av: TCAS (short for Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System) is an automated cockpit safety system designed to help prevent mid-air collisions. It uses transponder signals to detect and track nearby aircraft, allowing it to monitor potential collision threats. The system operates independently of ground-based air traffic control. When another aircraft gets too close, TCAS provides pilots with visual and audio alerts. If a collision becomes imminent, it can issue a Resolution Advisory (RA) instructing pilots to climb or descend to avoid the threat.
