the push back is REAL!!! I have always been the bad parent because I said no, I put consequences in place and followed through. but the other parent never stuck to anything...ever!!!! he was always defeated and never stood on any ground. and now that my son is 17 he wants nothing to do with me becuz im still standing on expectations and boundries. I am guilty of over explaining to get them to understand.Ever since my son told me to treat him like the man he is, at 17, I am doing just that and he doesnt like it.....and hes pushing back. I thought it was me being crazy (becuz thats what he made me feel like). but as I sit back and self reflect/analyze the situation, the logical side of my brain knows why I am labeled as the bad parent but my mom heart breaks. but the old system is no longer working. and for that I have been cut out, insulted and lied on/to. thank you for these videos!!
