I’ve lived in the area since I was 6 im 24 now. It’s great to see some areas expand and become more modern/updated and more open to people, but there’s so many great local businesses that had to close because they couldn’t afford the rent or compete with these chain restaurants and overpriced coffee places. The sports teams have always been the same I really dont think theyre has been that meaningful change in attendance to games accross any of the teams. Idk if they still do them but the rays used to do discount (or maybe even free) tickets for elementary schools kids and parents would buy a regular price ticket. It used ot be really fun community nights

the issue is a lot of these people who have moved here since covid act entitled. they have no respect for the community and culture(s) that existed wayyyyyyy before they decided to pack their shit and move here. they all act the same. nonchalant, boring, and performative. this is coming from someone who moved here after high school in 2016 from new york lol. so much has changed in tampa and not all of it is good. his point were null in void lol

Born & raised here in 87, first 1 Gen Tampa Bay sports fan. The Bucs & Lightning were doing well long before everyone outside of Tampa moved here!! Hosted major events before it was built up.

I have been to these events and yeah people are flirting but people are also there to just workout. Lotta couples go together even. People are gonna mingle and flirt everywhere we are human. those who don’t know that many people but love being active have a place to meet like-minded individuals so I don’t really see the issue here tbh
