@kelly.cook22: blow this up so I can get their attention to fix their fuck up!! No one at corporate will even call me back! ##fypPart 2 is now posted!!
There’s no way caliber let you drive away without a headliner. More than likely you complained your car was taking too long or the headliner was on back order and you signed a waiver saying you’ll drive it until it comes in. Sincerely someone who works for caliber

“I don’t care if the headliner is on back order I need my car back” then proceeds to complain they have their car back with no headliner. Am I in the ball park? And then they will say that my rental coverage was out and caliber wouldn’t pay for an extension. Which I would reply yeah it’s not Calibers fault they can’t get parts. Not trying to defend caliber because I do not like them as I am an independent body shop owner but just being in this business you have to understand parts is completely out of our control

Man I don’t know what you guys deal with at these other calibers. I work for Caliber Collision in southwest VA and we genuinely care about your cars. I absolutely love my job and take an insane amount of pride in what I do. It’s a shame not everybody’s like that

with zero explanation. why not explain to everyone that the part is on backorder and how they can't control that

I work at cascade collision, if a part is on backorder it's beyond our control, we didn't wreck your car, you did 🤷♀️

shit im surprised the car still runs with the headliner out. most newer cars have to many gismos connected to the headliner plugs.

they shouldn't have let it go without the headliner even if it's on backorder. it's a big safety issue if you get into another accident the carton airbags want deploy right

Caliber fixed my dads truck after it got rear ended at 50 mph by a driver not paying attention and no one can tell the difference, it looks factory idk what you’re on about

Backordered or not. No way a body shop should release a car without a headliner, god forbid you get into another accident & the airbags deploy you could die or get seriously injured

Soooo them letting you have your car back before back ordered parts arrive so you can actually have a vehicle makes them a bad company?….gotcha…

Let’s get a back story. I was a GM at Caliber Collision until recently. There is no way your car would have left without a headliner without your approval…..

“Ma’am we have the headliner on order but it’s on backorder would you like to pickup your vehicle” = calibers fault 😭🫵🏼

Caliber is a fancy Maaco body shop, I get so many redos that come into my shop and they’re usually hacked up from caliber. Stay away from chain auto body shops.

The real problem is caliber, Gerber, classic, crash champions all are in contracts with the insurance company . These corps buy out all the private shops and then They sign contracts to discount and allow insurance company to dictate the cost of repairs. Then the shop becomes dependent on the insurance company to bring them work , insurance company will push customer to go to preferred shop where they get the best discount . So yes you will get low quality service at the shop that bends over and does whatever geico and progressive tell them so that the insurance company doesn’t threaten to take them off the list of preferred shops.

the bigger issue here is the car manufacturer being unable to get parts.

not gonna lie I work for caliber collision. corporate just went through the most dramatic change ever and it’s probably gonna be super hard to get to them. Everyone either got let off demoted and very few got promoted. But if caliber didn’t just go back to any shop and they should have it fixed for you, it has a lifetime warranty across the US.
