I had two ball pythons with my boyfriend when I was younger and they both escaped. We found one in the bottom dresser drawer under the clothes a few days later. The other one we didn’t find for months. It just popped up one day hanging from the lamp. We thought it had died by then. They both lived for years after that. I hope you find Steve.

I think I would have torn my house apart. I would be so worried about my children. There were children suffocated to 💀 in New Brunswick, Canada by a python. I understand it’s a pet, but it’s also a predator.

If my neighbour had a pet snake and then lost it, I’d be PISSED 😭 because why are you keeping a whole snake as a pet in the first place?! Snakes are wild animals, not domestic pets, and some of us are absolutely terrified of them. Now your “pet” is loose and potentially putting everyone around you in danger. Some people are genuinely so inconsiderate. 😭

Just keep doing what you are doing, you are trying your best and I'm sure when Steve gets bored of where he is hiding he will come out. The only thing you can do right now is prepare for when he is found, I'd buy a lock for that cage asap. 😅

As a snake owner twice for my kids, I had my first guy get out and he was gone for about 8 days. I found him coiled up in the springs of my living room chair. I safely got him back in his enclosure. My current python is secure only because I learned the lesson the first time. Accidents happen, don’t let social media get to you. You are doing all the things to find your pet Steve the 🐍 snake. I hope he is found safe and sound in just a weird place! He’s having a little vacation 😆
