@woundedfam: I can confidently say now that Benji is intentionally moving his gait trainer! I’ve noticed that he’s beginning to take steps with his right foot, which is so interesting because his right side is his more affected side. In the past, for the most part he would keep his feet in one spot together, so seeing him actually pick his right foot up and put it back down is a big change. His left foot, on the other hand, is mostly just hanging out right now. Braxton loves pushing Benji around in his gait trainer, but today he started moving Benji’s feet for him too. I’m sure it’s because he’s watched me do it so many times, but it was such a cute little moment between them. We have a long ways to go, but seeing that Benji understands he can move himself is huge. #cerebralpalsy #hie #microcephaly
