My dad died from esophageal cancer from untreated GERD, Tums don’t stop the damage. People need to be educated about how damaging it can be to your esophagus. Media portrayals make it seem like a minor issue and don’t find out until, like you, it becomes painful, serious damage. Thanks for spreading the message.

Watching it back and also want to add I am not a medical professional! I’m noticing people describing experiences I had forever and just kept shrugging off as the aches of life and not a big deal until something worse happened and it’s like looking at myself shrugging off and laughing about how sometimes I get super nauseous for a couple hours out of nowhere but then it goes away for a few days so it’s nbd
