It’s actually true When you’re Latino with mixed ancestry, your appearance can change a lot as you get older. My dad went from looking more European/white when he was younger to looking more mestizo as he got older, and now he has a pretty typical Northwestern Latino appearance

a lot of people are discrediting the change over time. so i’m going to show pictures of myself from childhood because i’ve been told my whole life that the way i look has changed constantly. for background, my dad is native (lakota, and choctaw) my mom is white (irish, french, maybe european i believe) i also want to acknowledge that for native peoples, we’re often told we only look native with long hair, specific clothing, accessories, etc. i think there’s some truth to it for some, including me.

You have to keep in mind, the climate in El Salvador is different than in America, so factors like the Sun effect how your dad might had “changed” phenotypes, I would say the Sun in El Salvador was causing his Melanin to stay at that typical brown color Salvadorans are known for, but once he moved to America his body got use to that type of climate causing his body not to produce as much melanin as he had in El Salvador, tbh idk I’m just yappin
