If i take my baby off the breast if he is sleepy, he doesn’t take the other one ever, just falls asleep. So i let him go at the first as long as i can see active sucking or he pops the nipple out, and then move him to the other breast which he almost always never takes. Could that affect my supply if he feeds every 2-3 hrs? It would mean either side gets 4-5 hrs between feedings

Would I need to worry if I’m tandem feeding my 6m and 19m old? Is it a similar situation as an over supply, they tend to each feed off a single breast per feed then the next time I try to switch them

what position do I need to put baby in if they are choking on the milk? I have him in sideline position while eating for a slower feed and he still chokes

I used to do this made night feedings so long 40 minutes now I offer one and cut her off at 7-10 minutes and she’s back to sleep and so am I

This is so interesting. Our pediatrician just suggested baby is gassy because he’s eating quickly (7-10 mins) on one boob, then falls asleep and never takes the second boob, and says he is not getting any hindmilk - which would keep him full, help him sleep better and be less gassy? meanwhile he’s gaining weight quickly and seems satisfied. I’ve been overthinking this so much!

I’ve heard people say when they get sick their supply drops and they have a hard time getting it back up. Is that real? I’m worried since the fall is coming and everyone is getting a cold already!

I am only pumping to replace feeds while I’m at work for 8-9 hours…. I’m pumping nearly 20oz. Obviously he’s not eating this much. I feed on demand, pump 3-4 times at work for no more than 20min typically 12-15, and don’t do any extra pumping. How can I reduce my supply?

This is something I’ve just learned about and now it has me super anxious. My baby had a NICU stay so I’ve been pumping since day 1. Even after he was able to exclusively take the breast, I continued to pump. I’m 5 weeks pp and pump around every 4 hours on top of nursing. I can usually get minimum 5 oz every pump, more at night. Am I doing him wrong by him having to deal with the over supply?? Should I cut back? I’m just so worried about my supply and going back to work

This happened to my daughter and I. She was getting full on foremilk due to a massive oversupply. I had to pump/express prior to nursing her.
