This is why I will put high Mehr amount to stop things like this happening to me. You should never agree to marry with small amount of mehr to any man in your life!!! It’s not about money if a man is responsible to save high amount of money it shows he is responsible man but a guy who wants to marry for low mehr it’s like irresponsible and he has options to do it again and again. So girls in future when you decide to marry, always consider adding your deal breakers in the marriage contract and always keep your muakhar high amount!

Go to this place called community development authority and tell them u have emirati kids and apply for temporary housing which can be renewed yearly and u can apply in the same place for monthly money

I have 2 Emirati children and it’s so heartbreaking to see expat Moms and kids go through this, that’s why it’s very important that we as a woman is financially stable so we don’t just rely to husbands/man.

I am in 26 years UAE I have to daughter from UAE nationally they father hi don’t pay for 9 months rent. now I go all places Skan divan no one help as .so now rent in Monday they will take me and my daughter outside off flat so what will have to do stay on the street. It’s very bad situation. It’s not my daughters fault that I’m not local so now I am the same situation

I feel you. we are almost have same situation. I have Emirati child and we live in small sharing apartment with no space even for play area. Legally, having like 1,600aed housing monthly only + monthly child allowance and small amount of custodian fee for me. As an expat, it's hard to get support from government. I tried and i failed. Living in Dubai is expensive nowadays. But Alhamdullilah we survived every day. Sending big hugs for you strong Mama. 😊

I’m on the same situation, raising up an Emiraty child, but the father of my child doesn’t pay any nafaka more than 1 year(execution is open from May) same time he has beats me when I asks him bring food or money(he has criminal case) I went all places where I could(diwan,women and children foundation, charities) unfortunately no one didn’t help me. Now our apartment and electricity didn’t paid and soon management ll kick us out… I really don’t know what to do🤷🏻♀️

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته الموضوع: طلب مساعدة عاجلة ونظر في حالة إنسانية صعبة لتوفير سكن أنا امرأة مطلقة من جنسية أجنبية ومقيمة في الشارقة، وأم لابنتين (من أب إماراتي)، نعيش في سكن إيجار، وطليقي ممتنع تماماً عن سداد الإيجار أو تحديث بياناته لدى الجهات السكنية لتوفير سكن خاص بنا وتأمين حياة ابنتيّ. لقد وقع العبء المالي كاملاً على ابنتي الكبرى (22عاماً)، حيث تحاول بمفردها لتغطي تكاليف الإيجار، والدراسة الجامعية، والسيارة، ومصاريف المعيشة أثناء عملها ودراستها، مما أثقل كاهلها بشكل يفوق طاقتها، بينما تخرجت ابنتي الثانية من المدرسة (18 عاماً)، وكما أن صحتها النفسية في وضع سيئ (لديها سجل في عدة عيادات نفسية) طرقنا أبواب عدة جهات (إسكان الشارقة، ديوان الشارقة، الجمعية الخيرية) ولم نتمكن من الحصول على مساعدة وذلك لأن الأب يجب أن يقوم يتقديم الأوراق المطلوبة وهو ممتنع تماماً، ووضعنا المالي يزداد صعوبة يوماً بعد يوم. لذا أرجو منكم النظر بعين الرحمة لحالتنا ومد يد العون لنا لتخفيف هذه الأعباء وتأمين سكن كريم لنا
