@red.ridge.roots: The cider you didn’t know you needed on your shelf for the ‘ber’ months. I feel summer just started and normally by this time of year I am ready for fall. Honestly, not this time. Momma ain’t ready.lol but the smell of this cider and the taste, was soo darn good, it may have given me a slight feeling of looking forward to the rain ahead and the wood stove, while enjoying a warm cup of this pear cider. You’re gonna want the recipe, I got you ⬇️ (I doubled the recipe and those are the measurements I’m sharing) Pear Cider: -20 pears, halved -2 oranges sliced -8 cinnamon sticks -4tsp ground all spice -2 Tbs whole cloves -2 vanilla bean pods, sliced down the center -1c brown sugar, loosely packed -20c water Bring to a boil and simmer 3 hours. Mash pears and simmer 10-15 more minutes. Strain liquid using a colander or cheesecloth. Fill pint jars 1/4” headspace and process in water bath or steam canner 10minutes.
