Ma, we know what you’ve been through. We know it wasn’t always easy. And now that we’re finally in a place where we can give something back to you, we don’t want to wait any longer. Sabi mo, “Sobra-sobra naman ’to.” Pero para sa amin, kapag susumahin lahat ng sacrifices mo para sa pamilya, kulang na kulang pa ’to. You raised 11 children, Ma. Alam naming hindi naging madali. You gave so much of yourself to us, and there were probably so many things you had to set aside just to take care of your family. And if we could give you more, mas higit pa dito ang deserve mo. Losing three of our siblings made me realise even more how precious life is, and how important it is to cherish every moment while we still have the chance. I know they would be happy seeing us like this today—seeing the family together, and seeing us slowly being able to give back to you, kahit kaunti, for everything you have done and sacrificed for us. As I’ve grown older, I’ve also realised that life is not just about my own timeline anymore. I have to think about your timeline too. You and Papa are getting older, and I don't want the day to come when I look back and regret the things we could have done while we still had the chance. This celebration reminded me that I need to keep working harder—not just for myself, but for you, for Papa, and for our family. Ma, this is just the beginning. We still have so much more that we want to give you. For all the years you gave to us, for every sacrifice, for every time you put your children before yourself— this is our little way of giving back.
