@erinmayequade: The reason we don’t have regulations on Flock cameras in Minnesota today is because every Republican on the House Judiciary Committee voted against the bill to regulate Flock back in March. @Brad Tabke
I don’t want flock or any type of those camera cameras under any company. I hope the legislation is being written that way rather than using the brand-name flock.

Because it was a tie it doesn’t pass? There’s nothing there to be a tie breaking force to ultimately say yes or no?

If the DFL wins the trifecta in November will you bring this bill back to the floor?

Gosh I am feeling old, I remember a time when republicans were against taking off their shoes at the airport because it was too intrusive. I remember a time when republicans were up in arms about the Patriot Act!

Did you see that MN Senator Ortman was at Flock Forward 2026? She works with former Hennepin County Sheriff Stanek to pair up Flock with police to advocate for camera installations.

I didn't know this! Thanks for sharing. MN Republicans seem to ask themselves each day how they can be on the wrong side of every possible issue.

But are the ALPRs only going to be regulated or banned, like Kalshi and Polymarket? They are arguably worse than the gambling rackets

Well I guess we need to vote in a trifecta to get basic privacy.

When will employees get biometric privacy from employers? It’s ridiculous we are required to consent to facial biometrics in order to keep our jobs.

She lost all ny respect and makes me feel very strongly to go against her when she blocked the law to stop cities from signing NDA’s with data centers. We have a right to know what our cities are working on.

Even if we wanted the cameras, and I’m not saying I do, they should be regulated. Like how is that not easy to understand? This is a huge responsibility, having access to this data, and it absolutely should be fully and heavily regulated.

Garrett Langley having the audacity to suggest he expected lawmakers to “move quickly” to require accountability checks instead of simply doing it himself when he knew damn well the cameras would be misused and could require strict policies from the beginning 😡

Thank you, Erin! Please also start pushing for data privacy laws similar to the GDPR or CCPA. We need to start protecting or neighbors right to data privacy.
