@_girllockin: I started with $52,005 in student loan debt back in 2017—which is roughly $71K in today’s dollars. 😳 About $5K of that balance was interest, so paying attention to the principal was a HUGE part of my strategy. My approach was simple: make the required payment every month, then put any extra money toward the loan balance. The faster you reduce the principal, the less interest you’ll pay over time. And I’ll give credit where it’s due—timing was definitely on my side. I paid off my loans during the federal student loan payment and interest pause, which allowed me to put more money toward eliminating the debt. $52,005 → $0. 🥹 Paying off that debt completely changed my finances and gave me so much more room to focus on building wealth. #StudentLoanDebt #DebtFreeJourney #DebtPayoff #FinancialFreedom #PersonalFinance
