Ramdam ko mga hinaing ng breadwinners sa comments dito. Mahigpit na yakap. I hope that in the future na tayo na magreretire, we have to think prepare for our own retirement para we don’t pass the burden or making our children our retirement fund so they could live their lives fully.

Parents ko at 56 wala na mga trabaho, walang pension, walang extra income. May mga kapatid ako nasa working age na pero mga walang trabaho as of now or kung meron man, paminsan minsan lang. So emergency at retirement fund, ako lahat. May nagkasakit, ako maglalabas ng pera. Soooobrang hirap. Naiinggit talaga ako sa may mga parents na hindi naasa sa anak at sa may mga kapatid na able to contribute financially 😔

Pwede po ba kayong gumawa ng content about choosing an HMO? What were your considerations when choosing one? As someone whose parents are both retired, nearing their 60s, and have comorbidities, I really want to be able to provide them with HMO coverage as well. Retirement is the greatest killer of senior citizens. My mom is in Mid 70s and still works as a teacher. Makes her mind sharp and gives her purpose in life.

My parents are both senior citizens now. Mum has always been a plain housewife almost her entire life & our Papa has retired sa labour work niya. Pero now they have been raising hogs pra daw may income kahit konti at nahihiya cla mag ask from us all the time. Then kumuha sila ng St. Peter insurance, paid na pra daw di na kami magka problema mga anak nila. 🥹🙏

As a parent of 2 children, i love them so much that I don’t want to burden them when i grow old or get sick. That’s why i make sure to plan for my retirement. Just like your recommendations na multiple channels. So that they will also have enough money to plan for their own retirement soon. We need to stop the cycle na mag depend sa kids pag nag retire. If we love them, let’s not be a burden to them. We are not their responsibility. Probably the only help i would need is their presence when I need them to be there.

I always tell to my 2 boys, na hindi nila kami aalalahanin sa pagtanda namin ng daddy nila. At laging kasama yan sa prayer ko, “Lord, help us na mapaghandaan namin mag asawa ang pagtanda namin.”

What my bro & I did with our mom when she said “i wanna retire”. Ako sa business namin nag hahandle now. My bro naman syempre lalake. I told him na sa akin dapat titira si mom since bawal siyang magisa. May HMO na siya. 3 actually. May life plan rin. May SSS rin. Ako sa meds si kuya sa bills ni mom. Tapos yung monthly painting subscription kasi sobrang hilig mag painting ni mommy.

I have 2 siblings and I'm the eldest. Ngayon palang palagi akong pinapaalalahanan ng mga magulang pati lola ko na tulungan sila dahil wala na silang maaasahan pagdating ng panahon. Hindi sila nagkaroon ng mga benefits na ganyan dahil ang plano nila is kaming magkakapatid ang magiging caretaker nila. Ni hindi ako lumaki sa magulang ko iba nagpapaaral saakin ngayon pero kung makapag salita saamin ay parang ang laki ng utang na loob namin sakanila. Malaki ang galit ko sakanila dahil never namin naranasan mahalin ng sariling magulang, kaming magkakapatid hindi kami nagkasama dahil nasa ibang pamilya kami nanunuluyan para makakain at makapag aral ng maayos at tinitiis yung mga bagay na kailangan para makuha namin ang kailangan namin sa pang araw araw. Malapit nako mag graduate sa kolehiyo at yung nararamdaman kong burden saakin simula highschool ay hindi parin nawawala. Natatakot ako na sa susunod na mga taon ay hindi ko makuha yung pangarap na gusto kong gawin dahil lang sakanila....

My step dad retired early dahil sa sakit niya at yung mother ko working pero pansarili lang. Sobrang hirap, while eldest namin bread winner and ako nag si-simula pa lang. Halos maubos sweldo ko kakabigay through labor and financial. Nakaka drain pala.
