@madalinemikayla: We live in a society that tells women their worth is in their appearance and if they want to meet societal beauty standards, they have to alter their features accordingly. Yet no matter how much more we seek to “beautify” ourselves, there will always be someone more beautiful than us. There will always be something else we want to change. The key to confidence isn’t altering your appearance, it’s becoming content with it. But you will never be content with something that you obsess over. God created you the way He did for a reason. You might not naturally meet the definition of beauty according to culture or society, but in God’s eyes you are a masterpiece.

Girl, I get more looks from men when I’m out only with my tinted sunscreen. I love makeup because it smooths the skin, it hydrates and protects me from the sun. I get lash lifts so I can go out without mascara. My daughter is complimented on her natural skin daily but when she wears makeup for competitive cheer watch out!

It depends on how you look at it. Some people, like myself, don't feel the need to wear makeup, but see it as more of an art form or an accessory. But I do agree that it can be harmful when women have the mindset that they need makeup to be beautiful.
