this is so real, as an aunt I stopped buying toys for my nieces- I'd just give them little magical pictures to hang up or coloring books for their road trip that'd be like a month away- they were just excited

We don’t buy normal presents for our almost 11 year old and 13 year old anymore. They get to go to do something. We went to Dave and busters for one birthday, Branson, the aquarium, caves, bowling.

This first friend in my group to have a baby was only 20 so none of us had kids and we were all broke. I showed up to the 1st bday party with an extra large moving box from Home Depot and one of those giant balls that used to be around $2 at Walmart. It was the absolute hit of the party and every kid was playing with the giant box and ball and I spent like $5. Absolute magic ❤️❤️❤️
