I'm on the teachers side. Public servants are expected to tolerate so much with no right to defend themselves. My mother's best friend is a teacher and was fired for slapping a student back when he punched her in the nose. This student had a repeated history of violence towards faculty yet it was ignored. It was only after he cornered a new teacher after a class with threats of violation and him not realising CCTV had just been installed that he was detained and faced the full extent of the law.

Teachers are sooooii sick of these students!!!! In Texas, having a phone in class is illegal. He should have never put his hands on her or smashed her phone but I’m secretly glad he did.
