@journey.of.life537: Reflection: Ephesians 2:5 captures the heart of the gospel in just a few words. Paul tells us that we were dead in our trespasses. Spiritually, we could not rescue ourselves, repair our relationship with God, or earn our way back to Him. But God acted. He “made us alive together with Christ.” Salvation begins not with what we do for God, but with what God has done for us through Jesus. When Christ was raised from death, He opened the way for us to receive new spiritual life. This means Christianity is more than trying to become a better person. It is about receiving new life from God. Our past sins may have shaped parts of our story, but they no longer have the final word over who we are. In Christ, we are forgiven, restored, and given a new identity. Paul then emphasizes the foundation of it all: “By grace you have been saved.” Grace means we receive what we could never earn. We do not have to prove ourselves worthy before God will love us. We come to Him trusting in Christ, and salvation is His gift. This should also change how we live each day. Because Christ has made us alive, we do not have to keep returning to the attitudes, habits, bitterness, pride, or sins that belonged to our old life. When we stumble, we return to God in repentance rather than surrendering to condemnation. Today, remember: you are not trying to make yourself spiritually alive. God has made you alive with Christ. Now live from that new life. Declarations: * I have been made alive together with Christ. * I am saved by God’s grace, not by my own goodness. * My past sins do not define my identity in Christ. * I will not return willingly to the ways from which Christ has rescued me. * I receive God’s forgiveness and walk in the new life He has given me. * I will live today with gratitude for the grace that saved me. Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that even when I was dead in my sins, You did not leave me there. Through Your mercy and grace, You made me alive together with Christ. Thank You that my salvation does not depend upon my ability to earn Your acceptance. Jesus has accomplished what I could never accomplish for myself. Teach me never to take Your grace for granted. Help me to live as someone who has been given new life. When old habits, sinful desires, bitterness, pride, or discouragement try to pull me backward, remind me that I belong to Christ. Give me strength through Your Holy Spirit to walk in obedience and holiness. May my life reflect the grace I have received. Let my words, decisions, relationships, and actions show that Jesus has changed me from within. I was dead in sin, but by Your grace, I have been made alive with Christ. In Jesus name, Amen. #fyp #highlight #GodBlessings #dailydevotions #journeyoflife
