I remember seeing a documentary on youtube. This lioness was on her last surviving cub of her litter, she left it in a bush to hunt, she returned and looked so excited to see him curled up in the bush only for it to be revealed a small hyena pack had mauled him for sport. the look in her eyes was genuinely heartbreaking 💔

the worst part about the clip with the fawn is that bear doesn't look full grown. it's just another youngster trying to make it however it can. two babies who are just doing their best and unfortunately one has to eat, nature has no favorites

I remember the leopard seal who carried her pup everywhere and the whale trying to keep her baby near the surface while her pod travels beside her 😭

I hit a baby deer once when its mother and the baby ran in front of my truck. I made the split second decision to hit the baby bc it could not live without the mother, but the mother could live without it. I pulled over and cried for an hour. I still don’t know if I made the right decision

once, when I was 7 years old, my catechist said that animals don't have emotions like humans do and can't reason like us.. that sentence was, to me, enough to describe the kind of person she was. I never believed whatever she was saying because animals can be better than humans anyway.
