@southasianexplorer: The man behind the iconic Dyson brand went through 5,127 prototypes before he built the vacuum that worked. 🤯 By then, James Dyson was nearly $1 million in debt. 💸 Surprisingly, he studied art and design, not engineering. 🎨 When his vacuum kept losing suction, he became obsessed with figuring out why. Inspired by industrial cyclone technology, he built his first version using cardboard and tape in his kitchen. 📦 What followed was five years of prototypes and rejection after rejection. 🚫 Major manufacturers didn’t want his bagless vacuum. Replacement vacuum bags were a $500 million a year business, and Dyson’s invention didn’t need them. 👀 Eventually, someone in Japan took a chance on it. 🇯🇵 The royalties from the G Force gave him enough money to finally go out on his own. In 1993, he launched the DC01, which became Britain’s best selling vacuum. 🚀 Today, Dyson is one of the most recognizable technology brands in the world. But before the iconic vacuums, Airwraps and everything we associate with Dyson today… there were 5,127 prototypes that didn’t work. The 5,128th did. ❤️ #Dyson #JamesDyson #FounderStory #Entrepreneurship #UntoldStories
