@lifedramar: The most annoying part is that after spending all that money to buy the house, just a few months into the property you might already be dealing with serious repairs and maintenance. Things you would expect to last for years suddenly start giving you problems. Then add issues like water supply, bad or flooded roads in some areas, drainage, crazy traffic, estate/service charges, electricity and sometimes poor finishing of the building itself. Some places on the Island look very beautiful during the dry season, but wait until heavy rain comes before you truly understand the area you bought property in. 😂 You can spend millions buying a beautiful house and still be calculating how to drive through water to get home. Another thing that gets me is the amount some estates charge yearly for service fees after you’ve already spent so much buying the property. Security, waste disposal, water, power for common areas and other maintenance can become another serious bill every year. I understand that land is expensive, construction materials are expensive and everybody is trying to make their money, but sometimes it feels like you’re paying more for the location, packaging and Lagos Island hype than the actual value of the property. No disrespect to the realtors ooo, everybody must hustle 😂😂 but abeg, make the value match the price! If I’m dropping ₦135 million on a house, I shouldn’t still be preparing myself for another battle with repairs, water, roads, flooding and plenty maintenance bills. Or am I the only one who thinks some of these Lagos property prices are getting out of hand? 🤔 #lifedramar
