If you get a foal, GET INSURANCE. I have a 2 year old German riding pony cross and I have had insurance since he was 2 months old. In the time we have used over 6k of the insurance (THANK GOD I HAD IT!)

I wanna be the yes do it but ima be the voice of reason, is it forseeable that your living or financial situation will change in the next few years? Or are things pretty stable now? Just don’t let it be an impulse decision and make sure you plan ahead, you do already have 2 after all

I mean.. I’ll have to be the bad friend because I raised Raven from a foal (I obvs bred him) and it’s been the best thing ever.. he’s 5 now and I have SO much footage not to mention, I have done everything with him including breaking in and it’s been a dream. Also foals are so cool, Raven was a really antisocial baby until he was like 4 weeks and then he realised that humans gave amazing scratches, like genuinely GET THE BABY HORSE, it’s SO rewarding too watching them grow up and learn how to be a grown up

I am not helping but I brought my horse before she was born but came to me once weaned and she IS THE BEST HORSE for me! trained exactly how I want her, no previous damage no trauma. She's 6 this year and I didn't even break her after years of groundwork I basically just got on and walked off....if you have the means get the baby!

My experience was my baby horse went lame and wasn’t able to be ridden - wouldn’t recommend. I would get a 2-3 year old

The logical sensible answer is don't it. It's stupidly expensive and you might not like the horse personality, size etc when they're grown up. But if you can manage the finances and you're not after a particular type, size etc. It is fun 🥰 If you need convincing I have a video of baby Toffee clicker training 🤣
