if that's what she wants than she should go for it the main problem is that a lot of women who do this are putting themselves in a really vulnerable and dangerous position 50% of marriage ends in divorce and if you are home alone with the kids for years and not making your own income than if you get divorced you end up with nothing and that can trap you in a marriage you don't want to be in or that is dangerous for you it can be done safely but you need a safety net like at least having a college education so it can make it a bit easier to find a job if you need to and have a savings account that is just yours and has enough money to support you for a while if you will need to it's ok to choose that path you just need to be careful
