This afternoon, our seating area has found its way beneath the shade of the pergola, inspired by the incredibly beautiful outdoor sisal rug from @jamesleonflooring (I still cannot quite get over the fact that this beautiful sisal is weather resistant. It’s every bit as luxurious underfoot as it looks!) I love the way a rug can completely transform an outdoor space, adding such a beautiful layer underfoot and blurring that lovely line between house and garden. It suddenly feels less like somewhere simply to sit, and more like a true extension of the indoors.
