The suicide rates are devastating, but living in Alice Springs every day is a total hellscape for residents. Alcohol restrictions like 3-7pm trading showed a drop in DV, showing policy shift helps, but it hasn't stopped the constant night violence and break-ins. We desperately need actual solutions because people living here are at absolute breaking point. It is a beautiful place with some out of this world camping and places to explore but the crime is fucked.
