@umaasasiyaoh: #milklove The cafe’s door hit the bell made to capture the barista’s attention. No one cared who it was as they all had their own crazy lives especially one student who was deep in the textbooks. Love didn’t care. She was too busy trying to understand how balancing a chemical reaction work. Her eyes fixated on the practice test until she heard a familiar laugh. ”Yeah, I’ll get a cappuccino.” Milk spoke, trying to contain her laughter because of a joke View made. Love forgot everything. The practice test. The complicated system of chemical reactions. Her friend in front of her. Everything. She lightly adjusted her glasses. Her eyes happily admired the woman. Love watched as if she was looking at the prettiest art ever. Her face held something that only a few people could catch. It was infatuation. The way her eyes glimmered, her lips pressed into a thin line like it was suppressing a smile, and her once furrowed eyebrows instantly softened at the sight of the woman. Love’s crush on Milk wasn’t just a simple admiration. It was at first. Second year, Milk was a transfer student. When Love first laid her eyes on the woman, she understood why artists and writers highly romanticize and immortalize their muse. It’s been 2 years since then, Milk was so much more than a crush to Love. She wasn’t Love’s muse. That title was far too small compared to what Milk makes the woman feel. She was Love’s sun. She wasn’t just Love’s sun because of her beauty. She was Love’s sun because similar to the Earth’s sun, it brings warmth yet once you touch it—you burn so it’s impossible to feel the sun in its entirety. All Love ever yearned for was to touch and feel the woman’s warmth but its impossible. It was a fool’s dream. ”What are you looking at?” Love’s friend, Ciize, questioned. Her friend was about to turn to see who she was looking at but she immediately stopped her. ”Nothing!” ”Let’s just focus on reviewing.” She tore her gaze off the woman and tried her best to review without trying to steal a glance at her. The day after, Love walked into the classroom and Milk greeted her. ”Hi, Love.” She smiled before taking the seat beside her. “Hi.” She breathed out. It was a bit hard for Love to move on given the fact that they are classmates and they seat next to each other the entire day. As the teacher was babbling nonsense, Love had her chin resting on her hand. She was bored to say the least because the teacher kept on saying incoherent words and would talk about things that weren’t even related to the topic. She found herself staring at the woman beside her. Ineffable. It’s strange how humans still tried to give a word to describe something so beautiful that it can’t be put into things or words. If Love were to do the same, she wouldn’t say ineffable. She would utter her name. Milk Pansa. The woman was like an addiction that Love would happily fall into. “Is there something on my face?” Milk asked, catching Love staring at her. Love immediately shook her head. Her cheeks flushed into a light red tint like a kid who was just caught stealing cookies. Milk simply smiled before looking back at the board. She smiled. It was a simple act of kindness for some people. But to Love, it was a reminder. A reminder of why she fell in the first place. That smile that could light up an entire city if it could. A smile that reminded Love what it felt like to have a heart so whole. The next class was Science and the teacher decided to give them an activity so hard that it made Love question why she even tried to review in the first place. ”This is so hard!” Milk groaned, throwing her head onto her hands—making the pen roll to Love’s arm. Love caught it, chuckling at the woman’s state. — The rest on ao3 or Twitter! ^^
