Fed by dual Zenith carburetors, this powerplant generated 150 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 173 lb-ft of torque. Power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission developed by ZF. Thanks to its lightweight hand-formed aluminum bodywork, the car weighed around 2,900 lbs (1,330 kg), allowing the 507 to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in roughly 11 seconds and reach a top speed of 120 mph (196 km/h), making it a swift and capable grand touring cruiser with a deep, authoritative exhaust note.
