@grande_americano: I recently did a post about what types of food you grab in Texas when you don’t want to cook. Here, I often grab fish and chips, but many of my Texas friends and family mentioned Whataburger and I suddenly realized…I really want some Whataburger! 😋🍔🍟🥤#atexaninengland #atx #w#whataburgertexasfastfood @Whataburger
You forgot to mention how us Texans when we were kids pronounced it Whatabooger. I went a few days ago and got a Spicy Bacon burger for me and a burger with just meat and bread for my dog. He is really old and has been losing weight lately so I indulge him.

My uncle lives in Michigan and every time we picked him up at the airport in Corpus Christi (the OG home of Whataburger) the first place he wanted to go to was Whataburger.

I used to think that until I had recent ones the last two visits home. They both were terribly disappointing. Maybe they were substandard Houston locations🤷🏻♂️

Mate… sorry to add to the homesickness, but let me just say Whatahashburger. Standard burger, hash browns right in there. Will order and drop the shot tomorrow.

Language terms: Synchronic lenition in American English refers to the active, live weakening or softening of consonants within the spoken language. The most common and clear example is alveolar flapping, where underlying /t/ and /d/ become a voiced tap [ɾ] between vowels, turning "metal" into "meddal" (or Whataburger to Whaddaburger)

I worked for a while in London high end hospitality whilst dating a top chef. My US NY experience was work related, I never got to try stuff like this. I cook home meals from fresh ingredients. I bet I’d love it. The best food always drips down your bead onto your shirt.

They have recently taking over Colorado Springs. Wherever there is a in and out Whataburger has built a location on the opposite side of the street . I haven’t tried it yet , but you have pulled my arm to go try it sometime next week

What do you think of In-N-Out? As a Californian who'd been living in Oregon for years when I visited Texas in like 2012, I couldn't bring myself to potentially "waste" a meal trying Whataburger once I found out there were In-N-Outs in Texas (and none in Oregon at that time) I still regret that! My parents live in Kerrville now, next time I'm in the states I def have to try it 😅

Ever since Whataburger was bought out by a company out of Chicago…it hasn’t been the same since. I still love my Whataburger but I miss the OG

They’re not selling the burger so much as the nostalgia. I can’t stand McDs but do I find myself buying a cheeky double cheeseburger from them once in a blue moon? Yeap! 🤦♂️

I have four Texas daughters at St Andrews, and they say Saints Sizzle is the 100 times better than Whataburger. Also, a Chicago based company bought them out.
