I realized this a while ago. Once you understand that the brain translates raw waves of light and sound into images without an original template, it hits you: experience is entirely internal. Everything around us is a reflection of an internal movement, usually running on autopilot. Goodness. I think there is a vast misunderstanding about dimensions. They said the first dimension is a line. It is not, in order to have a line you need at the very least dimension A and dimension B. And in order to move along that line you need another dimension that represents time which is speed/distance but in order to have a speed or distance you need something to compare the movement and size of the space you’re moving along with. This is where space-time enters the equation. The equation for space-time “looks” like an equation you would use to calculate the position of something on a lattice similar to a piece of fabric. Time is a comparative measurement we use to represent the place something is while moving through “space-time” (2 o’clock EST Wednesday third week of March 1952). Due to the supposed limit of speed things can move, seen in the calculations for light speed. An objects “time“ is effected by its movement through space-time because as objects move faster through a space, time must slow down for them because their atoms slow down to compensate, as a percentage of the universal speed limit(light speed). The reason gravity effects space-time is as two objects come close together their local speed changes (moving slower or faster changes the “time” an object experiences) so really just because they made an equation that works on paper doesn’t mean that is what is actually happening in reality. Plus they these terms that sound like it’s something spectacular like “space-time is a fabric” when in reality it’s not.
