@kubaeditz: In 2003, 27-year-old Aron Ralston went hiking alone through a remote canyon in Utah. During his trip, a massive boulder suddenly fell and trapped his right arm against the canyon wall. With no one knowing exactly where he was, Aron was left completely alone with very little food and water. He spent five days trapped in the canyon, trying to stay alive and find a way out. After realizing that nobody might find him in time, Aron made an unimaginable decision. He amputated his own right arm below the elbow using a small multi-tool, freeing himself from the boulder. He then managed to climb out of the canyon and walk for hours before finally being rescued. His incredible survival story became the inspiration for 127 Hours (2010), starring James Franco.
