Floodlights carve order out of blackness, the snow stiffens into something opinionated, and every turn feels deliberate, almost contractual. The Carpathians loom nearby, ancient and unimpressed, witnesses to centuries of survival, while skis and boards whisper across the surface like nervous confessions. This is winter sport stripped of glamour, thrilling, unforgiving, and honest enough to punish vanity. By the last run, legs shaking and breath rasping, the night begins to interrogate you.
