Dean sympathy is crazy, He’s abusive and out of control throughout majority of the series. instead of helping his brother through his issues he insulted and pushed him away, dude only made things right because of his time in that other future. and yet when dean became a monster far worse sam never treated him like anything less than a brother

Sam deserved better than the dysfunctional shit. Dean is so trauma bonded to his brother he doesn't see the bigger picture for his little brother. I used to hate dean but John and Mary made him this way. He had to be the parent growing up.

that's such a dick answer from dean like bro didn't dean keep yapping about he wants sam to get a normal life and now it wasn't Amelia that stopped sam going after dean it was burnout after s7 Bobby was dead and sam didn't even know if dean was alive he thought he was died so he basically had no one no leads no nothing he lost everything to that life sam never enjoyed hunting it never was easy for him but dean enjoyed it that's why dean is a better fighter than sam but not as smart

after dean died, wasnt sam severely depressed and wanted to drive off a cliff before he hit that dog? like having to save and take care of that dog was what kept him alive before he has that weird toxic relationship where he transfers the codependency he has for dean onto her. i believe that sam loves dean just as much but is aware of how completely unhealthy that is (people always tell them this) so he pretends that he isnt because he's always cared a little bit more about seeming "normal"

honestly i can understand both sides. i mean sam didn’t know that dean was in purgatory, he literally had nobody so he moved on like what else was he suppose to do? meanwhile with dean, if my brother didn’t look for me i would honestly be mad so but again i don’t think it’s any of their faults.
