It’s because the defense has already stipulated that her actions caused the kid’s deaths. If they were still trying to prove whether she did it or not, he would be objecting all over the place.

I really feel for Lindsay I do but my head is scrambled to understand she was not in control . In control enough to take the kids down one by one so not to scare them as she placed them all separately so the other wouldn’t see . Plus she must have been rushing like muck in the time frame

Lindsay made a mistake of admitting doing the crime., the only hope now is for her to have not guilty verdict by lack of criminal responsibility due to pp psychosis. It's just sad that this needed to happen. She asked for help multiple times!
