I told a friend that I had been romanticizing her. I told her because she's been having self image issues and I want her to know that someone wants her in their life no matter what choices she makes. I offered her time and space so that she can focus on her studies and not be distracted. I put the ball in her court. gave her all the power and agency. I'm happy to continue being her friend even if I never get a response. Ultimately, confessing my feelings were for me. I needed to get it off my chest. If I didn't, it would cause resentment.
