I like it bc I’m a little anxious and I like him to know where I am in case something happens to me 🥺

The location sharing thing is really not that deep if you’re being faithful. It boils my blood when my husband asks me “where are you? What are you doing?” Look at my location and see that I’m spending $400 at HomeGoods on Halloween decor you fool 😂

Marriage does not mean you give up your right to privacy. A healthy relationship can have deep intimacy while still allowing each person to maintain personal space, private conversations, friendships, thoughts, and boundaries.
The key distinction is between privacy and secrecy. Privacy protects something that is legitimately yours; secrecy hides something that your partner has a reasonable right to know because it affects them or the relationship.
Marriage should be a partnership-not ownership.

My ex husband would throw a fit if I ever locked the bathroom door whenever I went to use it for whatever reason ( using the restroom, changing, doing my makeup, brushing my teeth, or bathing or shower. I would either be bathing or showering and he would come in and just stare at me like a piece of meat. If I did lock the door he would pound and bother me asking why I was taking so long or what I was doing. Mind you this bathroom was a 6×6 bathroom with a tub, sink, and toilet. He was 300 pounds at one point and I am 108. There was absolutely no room for 2 people in that room.

When I was in an abusive relationship with my late partner I found myself needing to hide and lie the most asinine and inconsequential things because any aspect of my private life no matter how benign or mundane could be weaponized and used as a basis for punishment. Now that I’m in a healthy relationship with a sane partner and I’m not in a constant state of surveillance I don’t feel the need to hide or lie about anything and have become very open and forthcoming about everything- even if I do something wrong or make a mistake- there’s no fear of punishment anymore

I agree, however it depends on the reason. Is it control and how often is it used? Is it safety and and comfertavility and rarely being used I think it’s fine

I don't know if it's most people that would agree about a child's privacy, unfortunately. An alarming number of people STILL don't think their diaries or rooms are off limits at all.

We only share locations when one of us is on the motorbike or when he’s driving home from Austria (wintersport)

My gf air tag me so she knows when I’m on my way home from the Rc race track. Doesn’t bother me.

My whole family, including my brother and my dad and even some of our close friends all do location sharing with each other. Because for one if we need help, we can get each other quickly. And for two if we are out and about during our day and we think about our loved ones and we can figure out how to include them in fun plans. We can reach out to them really quick and include them have fun plans and it’s just a good time for everyone. So we use it in such a nice way and it’s never for any malicious reasons or purposes or distrust or accusations.

For me this all comes down to consent. As long as you consent to your location being known, it’s fine. But no one has a right to know your location.

the only reason me and my boyfriend share location is because i am not fully able bodied, i have a small build. we live in South Africa and have a huge gender based violence issue. the only times he actually checks is if i tell him certain places im going that aren't the safest or places i have been cat called, harassed, ect. other wize we don't really use it

We all track each other in our family. It started out with the kids. I had to know where they were if they wanted to have a phone. Now that I’m older and they’ve moved out and gotten married. They questioned me where I am all the time.
