@coach.ryan0: Avoidance looks like freedom… until the distractions stop working, the validation dries up, and they realize they discarded the people who genuinely loved them. You can run from intimacy for decades, but eventually the bill comes due. 🚨 #DismissiveAvoidant #AvoidantAttachment #MidlifeCrisis #AttachmentStyles #EmotionalUnavailability
Sadly, my avoidant already has issues with his intimacy. It no longer performs he’s only 51 with severe alcoholism, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and lastly vapes a lot of issues.

I wish she could’ve saw herself through my eyes. I thought she was an amazing person. Lots of great qualities unfortunately she didn’t love herself. I pray every night she finds peace and knows she’s deserving and worthy of love. ❤️❤️❤️

I fear that I'm becoming more avoidant after dealing with so many damaging people, I was very anxiously attached

Do you ever get depressed for men when you make these videos? I know some women can be avoidants but I’d argue most are men and this stems from boys being raised to “never cry”, be a “strong athlete”, and perform through athletics to impress their fathers specifically. It’s just makes me so sad 😔

I find the link between illness as they age and their avoidance very interesting - stuffing all that down for years takes a toll on the body !

Yup. You just described my ex-husband. He was able to hide it more or less for 15 years. Things were good.. Then his estranged father died, his business and health failed and he broke down. I waited 5 years for him to wake up... He didn't. Letting them go if they aren't willing to get help is the only option.

my avoidant is 46 and going through it but he's actually opened up and we've been talking through the childhood wounds and all that, he wants to change. I'm shocked but I was gonna leave.

My 61 y/o ex is an alcoholic who suddenly discarded me after four years. One week after we booked a trip. I guess he think he can find someone better and younger than me.
