They push, provoke, and cross every line and the moment you finally react, they completely rewrite the story. Suddenly, you're portrayed as the problem the liar and the nasty one. This happens because they can't take accountability for their manipulative, two-faced actions. Meanwhile, they spread this false narrative about you and act like they’re the ones who were wronged. It’s truly exhausting. But healing involves slowly learning to trust what you actually experienced. You don’t have to keep explaining yourself to anyone especially those who were never interested in the truth in the first place. Protecting your peace sometimes means refusing to play along with their version of events. It’s about not feeling the need to stoop to their level, because you know your truth and who you are.
