While I think the intentions are to be kind and give a dog exposure to find their forever home, I think the idea of "a dog's day out" is cruel. She likely thought she was leaving for good and being brought back likely does somwthing to them psychologically. I'm a former vet tech and am very familiar with animal behavior and how an animal's brain changes in a shelter. This is sad to me. She thought she was being adopted.
