So Richard Duffin was the 17 year old boy who died in the fire in 1949. He is my ancestor. His story is told a lot in our family but certainly not the only family story of ghosts

I worked at a haunted theater😁 I LOVED it! The spirits there were pretty friendly. One that “lives” in the basement is a prankster. Will touch and pull your hair on occasion. The one on the second floor probably used to be an usher of some sort for the rich people. He’s a bit of a grumpy one but wasn’t mean. I heard him run up the steps one day😳. There is also a little girl who I have a picture of.

someone is in the elevator shaft on top of the elevator car? & someone is clearly messing with security employees? Elevator reset & electronics malfunction but it's just a good campfire story.

You’re a great story teller. So the”ghost” is named “George”. He’s harmless and a prankster. Scares the crap outta everyone. You’re right there was a fire there, where one usher boy got trapped and tragically, died. There actually have been a few fires there dating back to 1890 I think. I think that’s the freaky smoke smell. SLC has a lot of haunted places. There’s even a haunted tour you can take about it. *I used to work there. You detailed the basement and the building perfectly. Great story telling. You should look into the one about International Dunes Hotel. It’s sad and haunting.
