Although this movie has so much controversy i love the Disney movie it so beautiful with amazing water color animation and score. I also enjoy the love story. I feel as if no one really enjoys this movie because of the history. I've done a lot of research on the Pocahontas story and history. Disney messed up using a real person and fantasizing her life. It would.of been nice if they changed the names of our female lead and male lead and make it its own original story then things may have been better for this movie. But I still l loveit and watch it pretty frequently.

after learning the history and how this was his fantasy he wrote about her (a 13 year old girl) this movie went from being my favorite ever to making me sick to the point that i cant watch it.

CLEARLY this movie wasn’t made to represent the real life, historical people. When Disney wants to, it can get dark, we have seen it before. But you can tell they just took historical names and basically made a completely different story. A romance. It’s like taking King Baldwin and making him fall in love with a Muslim princess or something. I don’t get why people take it that personally. Should Disney have used different names for their characters? Probably yes. I think if Disney used original English and Powhatan characters, people would be more open
