Professional landscaper here. Always throw out if possible. First, it spreads evenly across the yard for proper regeneration. Second, it helps from keeping mower from bogging down, extending the blade and mower life.

Going back and forth mulch’s grass more. But also wouldn’t do that with as tall as that gras is. But hey I put my toliet paper on with paper towards outside.
