You did the circles from the inside out. That way you only had to pick up the grass at the edge. When I was a kid, you weren't done mowing the grass until all the clippings were gone. 😎

I grew up with circles, but I would just outline the entire yard with one big circle all the way till it was done. That's because I was never taught how to mow. Now I mow stripes.
