Well, this runs counter to what I was taught in the southern-Baptist fundamentalist churches I attended as a young person (my understanding of Jesus, and theology has evolved and I am in a much different place today). I am very much interested in studying these ideas further. Is there a book that touches on the evolution of women’s agency in the early church? That isn’t written for hard-core academics? Thank you!

I'm still trying to imagine Catholic priests doing household chores. If they did, they would be in sweats or dirty jeans. Your content is always great and using household chores as a backdrop is terrific. I think the translation I like the best is how the author describes Jesus putting on an *apron* to wash the disciples' feet rather than a towel.
