I get infusions for my Crohn’s and often send my friends and family a photo of the IV in my arm while I’m sitting in the hospital as a reminder that my issue is not the same as their stomach ache after they ate too much food.

in the past 2 years of getting my dietary restrictions I have never felt so scared of whatever was going to be on my plate. I could assume all I want and pray it will go well, or even ask the waiter/cook etc. how things are done but I will never know until it enters my mouth and it is horrifying. I'm tired of them trying to relate because they don't understand when they just try to relate to it.

I have a neuromuscular disease that causes fatiguable true weakness amongst other things and the amount of people who compare that to being tired or "weak" after the gym are wildly confused and have no concept of what voluntary muscles are.

The migraines I get are horrible on generic Stelara but it’s working so I’m dealing with the side effects. Plus no nsaids which is horrible and Tylenol never works

oh my god I really hate chronic illness... it's awful to say but I'd rather have terminal illness than chronic, human beings are not meant to suffer crohnically
