Honest question from a non-American: I just wanted to ask a nuanced question. If a male-to-female trans athlete identifies as a woman but has gone through male puberty, wouldn’t that automatically constitute a physiological or physical advantage? Conversely, if a male-to-female trans athlete transitions before the onset of male puberty, wouldn’t that eliminate the “physical advantage” argument? Should there be a clear line drawn based on the timing of transition for trans athletes who wish to play in the WNBA?
