Lowk i think it depends on how big the thing is that the person did for someone.. if it’s something like giving you money helping you get better in the gym helping you get a new house or helping you get away from an abusive relationship.. but if they’re only using those things against you to make you feel like you’re in a position where they can control you and do whatever to you then yes thats weird. But unless they do stuff for you kindly and you refuse to do stuff for them completely then thats also weird
